Introduction
Aloe Vera is a herb and its botanical name is Aloe barbadensis. This herb is also known as Aloe gel, Cape, Zanzibar, Socotrine, Curacao and Barbados aloes.
The plant of aloe vera is cactus-like. It is native to Africa, but is grown in almost all hot climates all over the world.
The Chinese were the first ones in identifying the useful qualities of aloe vera. In old times,
many queens used it to enhance their beauty, take care of the skin and hair. The most notable
queen was Cleopatra. She used aloe vera to take care of her complexion.
